Programmatic Funding Request Form

MA Eighth District Fiscal Year 2023 Programmatic Funding Request Form

Community Project Funding Requests

For Fiscal Year (FY) 2023, the House Committee on Appropriations is soliciting Member requests for Community Project Funding (CPF), in addition to the standard programmatic and language-based submissions.  Community Project Funding awards are funds targeted to specific congressional districts to meet particular urgent needs.  In FY 2022, my office was able to secure nine CPF awards ranging from supporting the Old Colony YMCA, to upgrading the New England Center and Home for Veterans, to replacing a water pump station in Hull.

Every Member of Congress will be able to compile and submit up to 15 Community Project Funding Requests across ten appropriations subcommittees for FY 2023. Eligible accounts are restricted to those listed in the table below. Please be aware that there is no guarantee that all Member-requested projects will be funded by the Appropriations Committee.

Please note that only state and local government entities, public institutions, and non-profit entities are eligible to submit and receive funding through CPF.  Funding cannot be directed to for-profit entities and will not include waivers for State or local match requirements. While matching funds do not have to be in-hand prior to the request, requesting entities must have a plan to meet such requirements for the project to be viable. Additionally, each submission must be for FY23 only and cannot include multiyear funding requests

Here is a funding chart regarding guidance as stated in the subcommittee's documents. This should give your organization an understanding of what the subcommittee has appropriated in the past and their expectations this year.
