Braintree honors those who’ve served at Blue Hill Cemetery

As we honor those servicemen and women who did not come back from combat alive, U.S. Rep. Stephen Lynch said Memorial Day is also time to remember our obligation to those who did. Since the first Gulf War, 3.5 million Americans have served in the Middle East, and 90,000 of them have served at least four tours of duty.

U.S. Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-South Boston) and State Representatives Joan Meschino and Patrick O’Connor also attended. In his opening remarks, Lynch acknowledged two Cohasset residents he nominated to U.S. military academies this year, Liam O’Connell (Naval Academy ’21) and Timothy Chase (Merchant Marine Academy ’21).
