Washington, D.C. Office

In my Washington, DC office, internships run throughout the fall, spring, and summer semesters for college students and recent graduates. The hours are flexible to accommodate students' hectic course schedules, but generally run 9:00am to 5:00pm. This is a paid internship.

Interns will be asked to answer phones, research legislation for the Member and staff, attend hearings and briefings, and answer constituent letters on various issues before the House. As a result, interns learn about the legislative process and the many other functions of a congressional office.

If you have additional questions about applying for an internship in my DC office, please email Ryan.Smet@mail.house.gov.

District Offices

In my Boston, Brockton, and Quincy offices, internships run throughout the fall, spring, and summer semesters for college students and recent college graduates. The hours are flexible to accommodate students' hectic course schedules. This is a paid internship.

Interns will be asked to answer phones, draft letters, and assist with constituent casework. District interns often have the opportunity to attend important district events and better understand the concerns of their communities.
